The gesture that activates the app by clicking Multitasking Switcher with 3D Touch on the iPhone’s edge was officially removed in iOS 11.
Since the first beta of iOS 11 we noted the absence of a function that allowed, through 3D Touch on the side edge of the iPhone, access to the multitasking screen.
At first we saw this “happening” as a bug, but today we can officially say that this is not a problem. Apple has officially and deliberately removed this function in the new operating system.
It ‘clear that this choice was made in anticipation of the next iPhone. Many new iOS 11 in fact, have been designed to fit perfectly the new smartphone that will be presented in September.
Probably on a smartphone without side edges could be uncomfortable or maybe this function could be invoked unintentionally really. It ‘also possible that the next Apple event to be shown a new way of App Switching for the moment is still hidden.
