Ten years after the launch of the first iPhone, Apple is planning 8 new iPhone, a device that, like the model presented by Steve Jobs, proves revolutionary.

Bloomberg confirmed for the next iPhone 8 or ” iPhone Edition”  several rumors that have circulated in recent weeks.

Apple would prepare three iPhone models to be presented this autumn, two models concern the updating of existing iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and the third, of which we know not the name but for convenience we continue to call the iPhone 8 will be the top device gamma.

For iPhone 8 Apple is testing two or three prototypes with substantial changes regarding the TouchID , built-in display or placed on the back.

The new device will have a curved glass with stainless steel structure and a module for the technically more advanced camera.

All the news that will be implemented, however, could delay the sales, compared to the presentation, would slip a couple of months to get to users in December.

The iPhone are the most important products for Apple and represent about 2/3 of the company’s turnover. Furthermore, their sales leads users to purchase other related products such as Apple Watch and iPad and provides substantial takings thanks to the App Store.

The new model of the iPhone comes at a crucial time for the Cupertino company that last year canceled the typical design cycle updated every two years, while still maintaining the same design, which has contributed to a decline in sales.

In addition there is to beat the competition with new Samsung Galaxy S8 has received a large number of votes.

For iPhone 8 Apple is testing a display that covers almost the entire front with small frames to a minimum. This means an enlargement of the screen size compared to the iPhone 7 Plus with more measures to nearby iPhone 7 including the integration in the Home button display.

The OLED display will provide greater color fidelity while the other two models, presumably iPhone and iPhone 7s 7s Plus, will have the same display of current models.

One of the prototypes being tested involves a symmetrical design in front and back, with the use of slightly curved glass on both surfaces similar to those of the iPhone 7 with steel frames. The tests which will be carried out on prototypes will allow to evaluate the goodness of the materials used and, in case of excessive fragility, Apple could replace the rear glass with aluminum.

Another prototype would have characteristics identical to the front while the back much more curved which would resume the design of the first iPhone in 2007 . The fragility of glass with a very obvious curvature should lead Apple to choose a different design.

As for the TouchID and its integration into the display, Bloomberg reports the difficulties encountered in implementing the new technology , and it remains unclear whether Apple will be able to find a solution before the autumn or, as indeed it happened to Samsung, should give up and place the reader of fingerprints on the back.

Although the camera has been subject to revision with a vertical instead of horizontal arrangement with the double module and flash positioned between the two targets. Even on the next iPhone 8, the camera will not be flush with the rear part but slightly protruding.

To the front instead Apple is testing a double instead of single module such as the current and ever produced by Sony. In testing we would also include the functionality for augmented reality and depth of field.

The three models that will be presented in the autumn will have iOS 11 , the operating system that will be presented in June with an ‘ updated user interface .

Apple is also testing faster processors manufactured with the manufacturing process to 10 nanometers that will be installed on all new devices. The smaller of the current processors – made to 16 nanometers – will be more efficient and will allow to improve the battery life and the introduction of advanced functions.
