Apple’s efforts to combat the Coronavirus pandemic continue.
Apple will donate two million industrial respiratory masks to help healthcare professionals combat the coronavirus pandemic in the U.S. and Europe.
The company invited other companies to follow suit with and make multiple such donations.
This decision comes after the tech giant has noticed health facilities in Europe and the United States are in dire need of these personal protective equipment (PPE).
Tim Cook confirmed the donation in tweets in which he also thanks all the health personnel for their commitment, calling them “Heroes”.
Our teams at Apple have been working to help source supplies for healthcare providers fighting COVID-19. We’re donating millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you.
