After releasing watchOS 6 last week, Apple made watchOS 6.1 beta 1 available for developers.
Developers will need to ensure that the correct configuration profile is installed on their registered devices. Subsequently, the latest beta version can be downloaded and installed from the Apple Watch app on the iPhone.
To install the new software, the Apple Watch must have at least 50 per cent charge, be connected to its charger and also be connected and within range of the iPhone.
As for the new features of this beta, they remain unknown at the time of publication. watchOS 6 itself has brought with it a variety of new features, including a dedicated Apple Watch App Store, cycle monitoring, new dials and much more.
It is possible that watchOS 6.1 is only a minor update and will only add software improvements and error correction. However, if there are new additional features discovered in this latest beta, we will update this post.
