Apple released the first public beta of iOS 13 ,  iPadOS,  and Catalina macOS  to its public beta tester group, giving non-developers the chance to test the software for their fall launch.

Originally Apple had announced that the public beta would arrive in July, but apparently decided to release it a few days in advance. Apple’s public beta testing website is still inactive, so public beta testers won’t be able to install the software until they get back online.

Beta testers who signed up for Apple’s beta test program will receive an update to the beta version of iOS 13 over-the-air after installing the appropriate certificate on an iOS device.

Those wishing to join the beta testing program can register on Apple’s beta testing website , which allows users to access the iOS, macOS and tvOS betas. Before installing a beta version, you need to back up to iTunes or an iCloud backup. It is better to install iOS 13 on a secondary device because the beta software is not always stable and may include bugs.

iOS 13 includes numerous updates and improvements. There is the addition of the long awaited Dark Mode, as well as a new Reminder app, a redesigned volume HUD, performance improvements, Memoji improvements, a new Photos app and much more.

iPadOS 13 , on the other hand, includes a renewed File app, updates to the Home screen, significant improvements to Safari, folder sharing for iCloud Drive and much more.

macOS Catalina includes numerous changes, including a new app Music, podcasts, books and TV applications. iTunes is no longer included in macOS Catalina, with Apple sharing its features in those standalone applications. Other changes include a new ” Find My ” application, the Sidecar feature for using the iPad as an external display and more.
