iOS 15.4, the new final firmware version for iPhone and iPad, is now available. Here are all the news
They were expected for tomorrow but Apple has anticipated the release to today. We therefore confirm that the updates to iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, tvOS 15.4 and watchOS 8.5 are now available for everyone.
After the long beta testing phase, now everyone can install the new updates on their Apple devices.

Face ID
- Ability to unlock the iPhone and make Apple Pay payments with eye recognition, which therefore works even when we wear a mask but only on iPhone 12 and above. This system does not require the use of an Apple Watch. For those who use an Apple Watch, it will also be able to unlock the iPhone with older iPhone models.
Emoji
- Lots of new emojis added to the system.
FaceTime
- SharePlay sessions with FaceTime can now be started directly from applications that support the feature.
Siri
- Siri can provide time and date information even when the phone is turned off, on iPhone XS and above
- Siri now includes new voices in several countries
Green Pass
- It is now possible to add the Green Pass for COVID-19 in the Wallet application also in Europe. The Health app also offers a section dedicated to this and to all vaccine administrations or healings.
Other improvements:
- Added support for the translation of web pages in Safari also for Italian and Chinese.
- The Podcast app now offers a filter for seasons, played and unplayed episodes, or saved and downloaded episodes
- The iCloud function has been activated which allows you to create emails with custom domains.
- The camera in the keyboard can now be used to add text to Notes or Reminders
- Quick Commands now supports adding, removing, and reading tags in the Reminders app
- Emergency SOS calls get a new way to be called back. Basically you will have to long press the side button but it will still be possible to change the option with the 5 quick presses of the button, if you prefer.
- The zoom in the “Magnifier” application now uses the Macro camera on the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max which allows you to focus on small and close objects in a better way
- It is now possible to add Notes to the Passwords saved in the iCloud keychain
Additionally on iPadOS 15.4
- We find the addition of the Universal Control function, which allows you to pair the iPad to a Mac and continue to move the mouse towards an edge to transfer the cursor to the tablet and vice versa.
