The two new software versions are officially available to everyone.
A few hours ago Apple released HomePod 15.5.1 and tvOS 15.5.1, only 10 days after releasing version 15.5 of their respective software.
According to Apple’s changelog, the 15.5.1 update for HomePod fixes an issue that could cause music to stop playing after a short time.
The software automatically updates on the HomePod unless the feature is disabled, but the device can also be updated manually from the Home app.
As for tvOS 15.5.1, however, Apple does not offer detailed changelogs for its tvOS updates, but the company does offer some information via the tvOS support document. According to the support document, the update addresses an issue where music playback may stop after a short time.
tvOS 15.5.1 can be downloaded over the air to Apple TV via the Settings app by going to System> Software Update. Apple TVs with the automatic update feature enabled will update automatically.
