Apple has today registered five new iPads in the database of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

These devices are registered as running on iPadOS 13, which means that Apple plans to release the products in the fall along with the final versions of the iPadOS software.

The new model numbers are A2197, A2228, A2068, A2198 and A2230. Obviously, Apple has already released a new 10.5-inch iPad mini and iPad Air this year.

This leaves the iPad Pro and the successor to the entry-level iPad as the candidates for an update. We expect the 9.7-inch iPad to soon be replaced by a new 10.2-inch model.

The group is divided into two separate rows, with A2197 and A2228 under a list with the other three under a second. This could indicate that two different varieties of iPads have been updated, possibly divided between families of iPad and iPad Pro products.

Documents deposited with the EEC are legally necessary for the sale of devices with elements relating to cryptography in Russia and other countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Although they do not provide specific device details, they serve as an indicator of the changes coming to the Apple product line in the coming months.

A report on Tuesday claims that mass production of a new iPad model has begun, which seems appropriate for an autumn launch.

In February, TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that there would be two new iPad Pro models with updated processors. Kuo also planned the launch of the third generation of iPad Air and a new iPad mini, both launched earlier this year and narrowed the field of what Apple could update in the second half of 2019.
