Today Apple has proposed a new set of emojis to the Unicode Consortium. The emoticons were made to represent some disabilities.
Here’s what Emojipedia reports about the recent Apple proposal:
The new emoji proposals represent a guide dog, hearing aid, prosthetics and people using various types of wheelchairs.
The present emoji present in fact do not yet represent any disability of this type.
Apple added that this is only the beginning. The Cupertino company is, in fact, looking for agreements with the American Council of the Blind, the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and the National Association of the Deaf. Soon new emojis should arrive on the same subject.
