As reported last week by 9to5Mac, Apple this morning lunched its first trade-in program for non iPhone users.
Apple intend to do this by boosting iPhone sales by encouraging android and blackberry users to return their old device
by offering credit for select iPhone (iPhone 5c, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus).
The first Apple Reuse and Recycle program was lunched for
iPhone in 2013 and extended to iPad last year.
The timing for Apple to do this is right since Galaxy S6 and HTC M9 are going on sales next month, this will put some pressure on Android manufacturers either to reduce the cost of their smart devices or give offers that
would be attractive to non iPhone users.
The offer is only opened to some few countries including US, France, UK and Italy. According to
sources the program has gone live to multiple retail shops in US.
