The new tool to recalibrate the battery of the iPhone 11 seems to give benefits that go beyond those declared by Apple
With iOS 14.5 beta 6, Apple has integrated a new tool to recalibrate the battery of the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.
Apple has recognized the presence of a bug affecting only these 3 smartphone models that prevents the exact percentage of battery capacity from being displayed. We are not talking about the remaining battery level after a day of work or just waking up but the health of the battery , that is, that data that can be viewed in Settings> Battery> Battery status.
Each lithium battery is subject to wear out over time, reducing its maximum capacity. Apple shows the percentage of remaining health in the settings but on the 3 iPhone 11 models this data is calculated incorrectly.
The consequence is that for many people the number has dropped too quickly, even reaching below 80% after a year and a half of use and this could lead to slowdowns to the whole system. Thanks to the new tool to recalibrate the battery, many users who are using the beta version of iOS 14.5 have made it known that they have found benefits.
In principle, the percentage changes little, for example from 86% to 90%, however the question is important for those who viewed a number less than 80. In fact, these people, after having recalibrated the battery, notice general improvements in the speed of the system.
Apple claims that the wrong number does not really reflect battery life but many users are denying this claim because after recalibration they found longer battery life.
