The next generation of iPad mini will feature a larger display and design inspired by the 2019 iPad Air.
Japanese site Mac Otakara has revealed that Apple is working on a new version of the iPad mini with a larger 8.4-inch display, which will be launched in March.
This new iPad mini will have the same design as the current model, i.e. bezels at the top and bottom (slightly reduced), Home button with integrated Touch ID and Lightning port.
Macotakara says the updated iPad mini will be released in March. This is in line with an old report from trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which stated that Apple would release an iPad mini with a display between 8.5 and 9 inches during the first half of 2021. At the time, Kuo did not provide no details on the design of the tablet, but only stated that its strengths would be “the affordable price and the adoption of fast chips”.
