With the end of the embargo on the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, Apple has released iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 for all users, with several bug fixes and performance improvements.
iOS 14.1 offers support for playing and editing 10-bit HDR videos in the Photos app for iPhone 8 and later.
In addition to 10-bit HDR support, iOS 14.1 also fixes several problems related to home screen widgets, as well as improving the Mail app, Apple Music, and more.

- Resolves an issue that prevented a family member’s Apple Watch from setting up for some users
- Resolves an issue where the Apple Watch case material was displayed incorrectly in the Apple Watch app
- Addresses an issue in the Files app that could cause some MDM-managed cloud service providers to incorrectly display content as unavailable
To update our iPhone, just go to Settings> General> Software Update. This will allow you to perform an OTA (over-the-air) update without using your computer.
For those who have some particular need for a clean update or downgrade, you can download the firmware in ipsw format on your computer and then proceed with iTunes or with the finder.
