A new report suggests that Apple is working on a device similar to the iPhone 8 with Face ID, allowing for the integration of a larger 5.4-inch screen.
The Japanese site Mac Otakara shared a somewhat confused rumor about Apple’s iPhone 2020 range, suggesting that the 5.4-inch iPhone Apple is working on will be sized similarly to the iPhone 8.
Citing Apple vendors who performed at CES, Mac Otakara says that Apple ” could develop Face ID models alongside Touch ID models as an updated version of iPhone 8 ”.
This seems to refer to the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 that Apple has in development, but a further mention of the 5.4-inch iPhone with Face ID suggests that it actually refers to the 5.4-inch high-end device. scheduled for autumn 2020.
Mac Otakara claims that the 5.4-inch iPhone avrà will have a body size equal to that of the iPhone 7 and a rear camera that is ” much larger than that seen on the Phone 8 ”. By using the TrueDepth camera system and removing the Home button, the active area of the display measures 5.4 inches, although the size of the device will be similar to the iPhone. “
The iPhone 8 (and iPhone 7) features a 4.7-inch display along with thick upper and lower bezels that provide space for the front-facing camera and the Home button. By eliminating bezels, Apple can offer a larger display in a smaller body . The 5.4-inch iPhone will be the smallest “iPhone” that Apple has offered since 2017.
There are a lot of rumors about future iPhones right now, but it appears that Apple will release four to five new iPhones in 2020 . The first will arrive in the spring of 2020 and will be a successor to the iPhone SE 2 with ouchTouch ID and a single lens camera.
In the fall, Apple will introduce three or four new flagship iPhones in the 5.4, 6.1 and 6.7-inch size options and these iPhones will feature edge-to-edge displays , 5G connectivity , multi-lens cameras and more. . Initial rumors suggest that we should expect three iPhones in the fall of 2020, but a JPMorgan analyst recently said that there could potentially be two 6.1-inch iPhones, a prediction that was quickly confirmed by well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
