Apple launches a new challenge featuring the iPhone 11 series and the new night mode

Apple is kicking off 2020 with a brand new night mode photo challenge , inviting users from all over the world to share their best night mode photos captured with iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models automatically activate night mode when the camera detects low light situations. A crescent icon at the top of the display turns yellow when the function is active.

Apple will evaluate the shots sent from today until January 29th. A jury of selected judges will evaluate the photos received and reveal the five winning photos on March 4th . Apple shared a PDF with complete rules and eligibility

The winning photos will be shared on Apple’s website and on its Instagram, Twitter, WeChat and Weibo pages. They can also appear in advertisements and billboards, in Apple Stores or in a third party photo exhibition. Apple says it will pay a license fee to the winning photographers for the use of these photos in its marketing.

How to send photos:

Share your night mode photos taken on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags #ShotoniPhone and #NightmodeChallenge to participate in the challenge. Weibo users can participate using # ShotoniPhone # and # NightmodeChallenge #. Note which model you used to capture your image in the caption. You can also choose to send your images in full resolution via e-mail to shotoniphone@apple.com, using the file format “name_surname_nightmode_modelloiPhone”. Photos can be taken directly from the camera, edited via Apple’s editing tools in the Photos app or with third-party software. Registrations will be accepted from 12:01 PST on January 8 and will end at 23:59 PST on January 29.
