Adobe has released Photoshop for iPad on the App Store.
In view of today’s conference of Adobe Max, in which Adobe will officially announce the release of Photoshop for iPad , the app was published on the App Store.
As stated in a report last month, the initial version of Photoshop for iPad lacks many features . Although its UI / UX is similar to the desktop version of the app, it is not exactly a full-fledged app. For now, Adobe has focused on compositing and basic editing tools and will continue to bring functionality from its desktop app to the iPad for equal functionality between the two versions. The app also has Apple Pencil support which should facilitate image manipulation in the app.
Below are the features that Adobe highlights in the app’s App Store list:
- Create with complete PSDs : create on your iPad with the Photoshop features you know and love, from editing and composition to blending modes. Levels? They are all here. Resolution? No difference. Your PSDs are exactly the same, whether you’re working on the desktop or on top of a mountain.
Familiar tools, fingertip control : Work with your stack of tools and toolbar tools just like on the desktop. Swipe, pinch, touch, scribble, slide: you’ll feel closer to your work than ever. And with the context-sensitive user interface, only the basic tools and frames are displayed, so you can focus on the canvas, not the mess.
Work anywhere : it’s easy to keep your PSDs synchronized on all devices because it’s not necessary now. Your documents are automatically saved in the Adobe cloud as you work and are available on any device running Photoshop.
Composition : Make precision selections with the Quick Select tool, the Lasso tool and advanced selection options such as gradient. Use the brush to mask out parts of the image inside and out to create sophisticated composites.
Retouch : edit and enhance images and remove unwanted elements with features like point correction and clone stamp.
