Apple would be considering the idea of offering a refund to users who have replaced the battery of their iPhone, paying, before the discounted prices come into force.
After the controversy with the power management feature introduced with iOS 10.2.1, and concerning the reduction of the performance on iPhone with worn batteries, Apple announced in December a discount on the price of replacements of batteries out of warranty (now € 29 ). The discounted price will be in effect until December 31st, 2018.
As reported in this article, Apple has officially responded to the open letter of Senator John Thune concerning a few clear aspects of the policy implemented by the Cupertino company. The Senator asked, among other things, if the tech giant is going to reimburse users who have paid at full price the replacement of the battery of their iPhone, before the discount.
Well, Cynthia Hogan of Apple responded today to the words of Thune saying: ” Yes, we have considered the idea and in the case, we will provide updates “.
