Facebook wants to expand into the video industry and to do so has already thought of bringing new original content to the social network. In addition, the war with YouTube will become more serious because on Facebook you will receive all advertising that will allow users to monetize. The incentive will create new web star, ready to conquer the teenager.
Facebook’s interest in the original video content is certainly not a secret but now, according to Business Insider, Facebook will enter the “TV” sector in June.
The Facebook project includes two different video formats. The first would focus on shows that resemble traditional television content with much higher and longer life available budget. The second format, however, should be the one already present on the platform and we all already know, we feature videos that have a duration of between 5 and 10 minutes, a smaller budget and new episodes almost every day.
Facebook will find fertile ground among teenagers and Facebook in an initial period expected to be paid publishers with advertisements, similar to YouTube. The purpose of the social networks in fact, especially with the second video format, is to create new “star of the web”, to be made famous through the platform, with original content uploaded constantly and advertising for monetization.
