According to the latest note from KGI Securities, Apple’s iPhone 8 will initially be available in a very limited number due to the many upgrades that will feature it, such as the edge-to-edge OLED display and the new Touch ID.

Ming-Chi Kuo , analyst at KGI Securties, who has always been very reliable about rumors about the Apple world, wrote in the note that Apple’s suppliers will increase component production towards October / November and not in the period between August and September. For this reason, Kuo believes that iPhone 8 will be launched in September , but the number of pieces actually available will be very limited.

Reduced availability of the iPhone 8 could undermine Apple’s fall-out and holiday season, which difficulties could be exploited by Android smartphone companies to gain ground. However, always have to consider the fidelity of many Apple users, willing to wait a few days (or month …) in addition to buying the new iPhone.

In addition, Kuo believes that the delay of iPhone 8 “will not threaten the current demand” for the device thanks to its (almost certain) novelty. As for the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus (which will almost certainly mount an LCD display), the analyst suggests that they might attract little attention, especially if other companies decide to launch Android smartphones with a full-screen design.
