Spotify is thinking about a new feature that would allow to increase the number of users of the service. It’s called Jump In and should allow even to non-subscribers to choose which songs to listen to Mobile.

Currently the free version of Spotify for iPhone and Android lets you listen to tracks from a playlist without being able to choose the play order nor to select a specific song. Everything happens through a proprietary algorithm that tracks adds “extra” sponsored.

With Jump In, however, the user will have the same profile of subscribers, but the function will be restricted only to certain playlist.

A report the news is TheVerge but, at the moment, can not provide more information on what will these playlists. The reason is that in these days Spotify is making partnerships with record companies, so we have to wait another few months before the Jump In a reality.
