According to the latest analysis of Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, the iPhone next year will have to be made entirely of glass, including the rear bodywork.
Kuo thinks the transition to the glass is absolutely necessary because the next year Apple will introduce wireless charging and the metal case could cause interference which slow the rate of replenishment. In addition to this purely practical reason, we also find Jony Ive, who for years would like to accomplish an iPhone with the appearance of a single block of glass.
The same Kuo, had last week said that Apple will release three models of the iPhone. In addition to the usual 4.7 and 5.5 inches, should get a new intermediate device with OLED screen and dual cameras.
On the wireless charging, the modules may not be ready for all devices so initially could only be inserted in the third model of iPhone.
It has repeatedly been highlighted Apple’s interest in wireless charging but should work differently from competitors. In fact, it should not be necessary to place the smartphone on a breadboard, but simply keep it within a certain distance range. This would ensure full freedom of use, a very important step forward.
