Apple today unveiled its new store in Union Square in San Francisco , which offers many new features and services that will be introduced in other Apple Store in the world. The new store will open its sliding glass doors almost 13 meters high, characteristics of the store, Saturday, May 21 at 10:00 .

“Exactly on this day fifteen years ago opened the first two Apple Store and now we are excited to celebrate this anniversary with the opening of the Apple store in Union Square San Francisco,” said Angela Ahrendts, Senior Vice President Retail and Online Stores in Apple. ” We are not just introducing an evolution in the design of our stores, but we are expanding the scope and role within the community, since we form and entertain visitors, and we are at the service of our network of local entrepreneurs.”

The glass doors of the Apple store overlooking Union Square on Post Street and Union Square. The unique location of the building connects the most famous square of San Francisco in a “Plaza” entirely renovated north, creating a wonderful meeting place for the community. The rich Art Plaza offers seating, public Wi-Fi, a vertical garden taller than 15 meters and numerous acoustic performances. The Store is powered 100% by renewable energy, including energy produced by photovoltaic panels integrated into the roof.

“Take a deep commitment to the cities in which we operate and we are aware of the importance that architecture plays in the community,” said Jonathan Ive, Apple’s Chief Design Officer. ” Everything starts from the facade, which brings the concept of transparency to a new level, and where the building blends the interior with the exterior, breaking down barriers and making it more egalitarian, accessible space.”

  • The ” Avenue “, inspired by the fitting of shop windows along the tree-lined avenues, which vary according to the season.
