Status updates are a popular way to share temporary updates with your close friends and contacts on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp has announced some new features for status updates, which allow users to share temporary updates with friends and close contacts on the popular encrypted chat
The first is the Private Audience Selector, which allows users to choose who can see their status updates.
We give you the flexibility to change your status privacy settings each time you update it to choose who can view it. Your most recent audience pick will be saved and used as your next status default.
The second feature is Speech Status. This feature allows users to record and share voice messages of up to 30 seconds in WhatsApp status.
You can use voice status to send more personal updates, especially if you’d rather speak than text.
Status Reactions, on the other hand, is a quick and easy way to respond to status updates from close friends and contacts.
After the launch of reactions last year, this feature was the most requested by users. Now you can quickly respond to any status by swiping up and tapping one of eight emojis. You can always reply to a status with text, voicemail, stickers and more.
