Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reveals Apple’s plans for upcoming iPad Pro models.

Last week, analyst Ross Young reported that Apple is working on a new  14-inch iPad Pro with  ProMotion technology and mini-LEDs to be released in 2023.

These statements suggest the company may decide not to release a new iPad Pro later this year, but Mark Gurman said Apple hasn’t changed its plans.

In his latest edition of the PowerOn newsletter, Gurman says a new iPad Pro is slated for late September or October. Furthermore, the reporter believes that the next tablet in the Pro range will be powered by the new M2 chip, and will be equipped with wireless charging and a new rear camera system.

Seeing as some new iPadOS 16 features are limited to the iPad M1s, it makes sense that the company is gearing up for the launch of a new iPad Pro model.

It is currently unclear whether Apple will only release a new 11-inch model, or whether it will also introduce a 12.9-inch model and the all-new 14-inch model early next year.

Bottom line, with the introduction of Stage Manager on iPadOS 16, a larger screen iPad makes perfect sense, but we’ll still have to wait and see what Apple’s real plans are.
