A few hours separate us from the next Apple event and last-minute rumors report that the 5th generation iPad Air will mount the Apple Silicon M1 chip , thus managing to offer the same performance as the iPad Pro presented last year!

Adding an M1 chip to an iPad Air might seem like a gamble for Apple, as it would “kill” iPad Pro sales, however the company has experienced a drop in sales in the iPad sector and this move, contrary to expectations. , could revive the tablet market. The iPad Pro also has other features, such as the ProMotion screen, larger display and higher configurations that will always make it the tablet of choice for those who need a true “Pro” device.
In addition to all this, by the end of 2022 Apple will present a new iPad Pro even more powerful, probably with M2 chip and therefore the difference between the two devices will be greater again.
