The next model of the Apple Watch Series 8 will feature an iPhone 12/13 style flat edge design.

This year many users expected that the Apple Watch Series 7 would have a completely new design with flat edges , but sadly Apple has kept the same design as the previous model. However, the Apple Watch Series 8 , arriving in September 2022, is expected to adopt a completely new design.

The Cupertino-based company has been using the same design as the Apple Watch since its initial launch in 2015. The display has been enlarged, the bezels reduced, and new features have been added, but the design differences from previous models are minimal.

Fortunately, though, Apple may be using a new flat frame in the  Apple Watch Series 8 this year to help differentiate the model and bring it in line with other products. When the original Apple Watch was launched, its rounded sides were reminiscent of the iPhone 6. Since then, nearly all Apple products have switched to a flat design with rounded corners and reduced bezels.

Apple could therefore decide to introduce the same design on the next Apple Watch model as well. The display will likely remain similar to the Apple Watch Series 7, with a curved glass cover and rounded edges. The speaker and microphone cutouts may change shape or size, with two speaker cutouts instead of one.

Of course, along with the new design will also come new health features, including a sensor that will allow users to measure their body temperature . Apple is also working on other sensors for blood glucose monitoring, but moti leakers say it will take years for the technology to arrive on the Apple Watch. Beyond the complications of managing the FDA, the technology is not ready.

While no new sensors will be included in the new Apple Watch, Apple may use a new processor to improve the performance of the device.
