New renders showcase the new 10th generation iPad design.
The new 10th generation entry-level iPad should arrive by the end of the year and thanks to the new renderings shared on the network by MySmartPrice we can take a look at the design of the next Apple tablet.
The 10th generation iPad may feature a similar design to the iPad mini, with flat edges and a rear camera protrusion. Based on the renders, the 10th generation iPad’s chassis will have rounded corners, but the display will remain with square corners.
No news on the front of the device, since from the renderings we can see that the new iPad will have frames at the top and bottom of the display and a Home button with Touch ID.
There is a single lens for both the front and rear cameras. It also appears that Apple has plans to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack, as it has done on other iPhones and iPads.
MySmartPrice claims that the pill-shaped housing of the rear camera will include an LED flash, but the small hole shown in the renders may instead be a microphone.
The dimensions of the 10th generation iPad will be 248.62mm (height) x 179.50mm (width) x 6.98mm (depth). This would make the 10th generation iPad slightly wider but thinner than the 9th generation iPad.
The report also confirms previous 10th-generation iPad rumours that the new entry-level iPad will have a larger display, USB-C port, A14 Bionic chip, and 5G support.
Apple is expected to announce the 10th generation iPad and the new iPad Pro models with M2 chip later this year. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently reported that the company plans to release iPadOS 16 in October, so perhaps the 10th generation iPad and new iPad Pro models will also be unveiled in October.
